Our Learning

Students transition through many emotional, physical and developmental changes during their time at school. Pedare offers three distinct sub-schools to cater and support students through our support and pastoral care programmes.

Junior
Junior School

We equally believe that for this to occur as a College we need to foster partnerships with families. This starts with the most important relationships between the student and teacher.

When these relationships are nurtured, worked on and grown, we see students who grow to be compassionate, who act with integrity and who make a difference in the community they serve.

Middle
Middle School

In the Middle School we aim to provide an atmosphere where the development of relationships between all people involved in the student’s learning is of primary importance, where a love of learning is encouraged through a variety of different experiences.

We also aim to provide a safe, stimulating and flexible learning environment utilising the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) to guide delivery of the curriculum for all learners.

Upper
Senior School

Students in the Senior School work towards the completion of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), together with the final year of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP). In Year 10, which is the first year of Senior School, the students complete their final year of the IBMYP, the results of which have shown a steady and marked improvement since the introduction of this internationally recognised and moderated IB programme.

We acknowledge this land where we play and work is the traditional lands of the Kaurna people and we respect their spiritual relationship with their country; the land, the creatures, the plants and waterways. We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
